7 Telling Signs You’ve Gained Weight (2 of 4)

Try on some clothes

Another way to tell if you’ve gained weight is to try on some clothes. This is a pretty accurate gauge — if your typical clothing no longer fits comfortably or is a little tight, then you have most likely gained weight. This can be the case for a pair of pants, but is also true for shirts or blouses, or even jackets and skirts. If you really want to test if you’ve gained some weight, pull out a piece of clothing that you haven’t worn in a while and give it a shot.

Pay attention to your undergarments

Not only can your outward clothing tell you if you’ve gained weight, but your undergarments can be telling as well. Pay attention to how loose or tight your underwear are. Were they that tight when you bought them? If not, then this is probably because you’ve gained some weight. A mark or line from your bra is a good indication as well, especially if you’ve never seen these marks before.
