The age old saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand words, and this is definitely applicable in terms of weight gain. A great way to really tell if you’ve gained weight is to compare some pictures from the past to present. Pictures are great for capturing a particular moment in time, and you can easily use this as an accurate depiction of your weight. Try looking at a photo from a few months ago compared to now. You may notice a change in the shape or fullness of your face or body. These are good indications of weight gain.

Do a body scan

How often do we just zoom through our day without really taking notice of ourselves? We may peek in the mirror at the start of the day, but may not really take a good look. Take some time to just observe yourself and your whole body, noticing changes and fluctuations in your physical makeup. This is a good thing to do when you are alone and in the comfort of your own space, and can take your time giving yourself a thorough look. Regardless if you’ve gained weight or not, it is nice to appreciate your body and take some time to admire and love your physical features.
