Differences in Beauty Standards in Different Countries/Regions

If I ask you to list down the features that together form a beautiful person, would you be able to do it? Suppose I give this challenge to many people including you, do you think that most of the people will come up with similar answers? The answer is definitely No.

In African countries, black males marry black females. A person sitting in a country dominated by white people might think about how they get attracted to black females? This question emerges because people think that beauty is universal. What they think of beauty, others will also think alike. If that were the case, the obese woman would never get married. But every person has a different standard of beauty. In France, women believe in natural beauty and do not prefer crash dieting, plastic surgery, and skincare products. They believe that a beautiful woman should be effortlessly gorgeous. On the other hand, Brazilian women are so obsessed with their beauty that almost 2.5 million plastic surgery procedures are performed within a year. Brazil also hosts the Miss Bumbum contest annually, and the women with the best buttocks are rewarded. Liposuction is a famous plastic surgery in Brazil, which is followed by breast augmentation. In the United States, the body-positive movement is gaining prominence, but there are still trends and tendencies to achieve the perfect figure. Indians have a high preference for fair skin. Tonga, a small South Pacific Island, considers women with large physical sizes as beautiful. In Kuwait, most women over 15 are obese because fatness is appreciated and considered as a symbol of health and wealth. In Jamaica, the ideal beach body is almost twice the medically-appropriate size. Preferences for the ideal breast size also vary with cultures. In a study, it was found that individuals in Papua New Guinea showed a greater preference for larger breasts. On the other hand, New Zealanders preferred women with medium-size breasts. All these differences, variations, and plurality point to the fact that if a woman tries to please everyone, she will end up not pleasing anyone. A woman should focus on improving the God-gifted features instead of changing them in their entirety. If you take care of yourself well, there will always be a group of individuals whom you look beautiful. For the rest of the world, you should not worry much as long as you maintain good health. If you build on your strengths, your beauty will expand each day. If you get stuck in meeting the expectations of others, you will be in deep trouble. Not only you will never accomplish this objective but also harm your body and health. If you are too concerned about your beauty, you may take the advice of a beauty consultant. Your perception of yourself may vary significantly with the perception of the consultant. The consultant will help you keep track and avoid unnecessary interventions.
